Noob question....

Hey guys I just purchased a used 2007 gti, and have noticed that it is alot lower than stock so I guess the previous owner did something to lower the car. My question is what/where should I look to see what he might have done to the car? Other Gti owners always ask, "hey how did you lower your car?" and I just say, "I dont know I bought it this way." I would really like to know. What should I look for?

Check directly behind the wheel and check to see if anything is aftermarket looking. I guess the main ways to know right out is if its a different color or says a different name on the label.
If you are still not quite sure, take a pic and post it up here. I'm sure someone will gladly identify it for you.
