I am a ex-BMW guy with a Golf that wished a particular forged M3 wheel was available for the MQB crowd. I worked with a good friend at ORT Motorsport to create a 5x112 wheel inspired by the 513M, but I like to think of it as a fancy Pretoria, but fully forged and lightweight (should be just under 18lbs). First set has been produced in 18x8.5 ET40. I have opted for a tinted brushed clear finish. Should be done in early Jan. and hopefully a group buy in late Q1. Will keep y'all posted.

They look great -- What's your intended tire section width and sidewall, and are you doing anything funky with alignment to fit?

I should have qualified that. It's a golf alltrack, lowered on pss10. I am likely sticking with a 245/40, like I did with my APRS01, which were 18x8.5 ET45. I did a bit of suspension work since then and have a lot of camber adjustability now, but I'm only at -1.5 in front and -2.2 in rear with plenty room to spare.

This is the winter set I had ORT build. Spitting image of the VS5RS, but I did not like the 18x9 fitment they offer, so I spec'd it at 18x8.5 ET42, but on a 225/45. Still plenty of room, but I do have slightly modified alignment. The good news with these ORT wheels, is any size you can imagine that fits the platform they can build it, if it fits the wheel design.

These look awesome. Curious. Any plans for a replacement program like 034 or Apex's?
Hey, thank you. I left a message with ORT. He's still technically in pre-release, but does plan on offering a 7 yr structural. I will invite him to post here or I will share the response as soon as I have it.(y)

Ball seat (OEM) or 60 deg cone seat lugs?

Also do they take OE VW center caps?
I went with the OEM VW Ball Seat (think r13?), but either can be done. I am not sure on the center caps. I actually have no oem caps since all of my wheels are aftermarket, but I'm glad to put calipers on them and measure. If not, like the lug seats, the bore size and center cap size can be specified when ordering, at least until he decides what he's going to produce in quantity and order stock. Until then, it's truly custom. Any diameter, width, offset, etc.

Thank you. I am going with 245/40 Contis (Alltrack). Should fill out the wheel well nicely. Unfortunately, winter has finally settled in here. Hope to get a few shots on the car within the next few weeks.
