Why am I not surprised. It probably wasn't a GLH, either.
Pretty sure people have been modding Mustangs well before the Golf line even existed....
They have. I just never thought it was as "big" as the whole VW modding scene.
Trademark issues around the Shelby name. For years, it was tied to Chrysler
Dat Omni Goes Like Hell (GLH)
Mustang cobra vs Shelby cobra.
Why are they the same name? Cobra is like amg or something?
Man, I have a lot of things to do on mine.
Boost gauge.
Idler pulley.
Tensioner pulley.
Revised console.
Air vent.
Upper control arms.
Lower control arms.
License plate lights/covers.
Clean rotors.
Paint rotors.
Paint calipers.
Clean wheels.
Rebalance wheels to weights on inside.
Yikes.
It could be worse... How long do you think this will all take?
Depends on when I start!
The pulleys are normally easy, but might be hard due to the SC being in the way. UCA and LCA are easy as well. All the other stuff is simple, console will need some fabrication doe.
This is an awesome project car, though.
Are you going to make a thread here for the progress, or just use this?
Oh, and replace PS pump. There is a leak somewhere. I figure that is a good place to start and if the leak is somewhere else, at least I know the pump is new.
This.
I would not call it a project car fully. It is also a DD.
I did this on the Dogekota, pump and new lines were less than $100, I'd imagine the Cobra is the same. I hope your access was a good as mine!
