MKV Pirelli edition flashing PRNDS

Hey guys,

Sometimes when I cold start the car in park the DSG feels like it's trying to engage and can hear a few clicks, thumps, and jolts coming from the dsg, then the PRNDS light starts flashing.

If I turn off the car and start it again, it goes away and engages gear with no issues.

It's been doing it for a while and the dsg has recently been serviced.

Is this the mechatronics unit failing?

Could be, but best way to find out would be to have the car scanned with VCDS or by a shop with appropriate tools to pull codes from the car's computer.
