MKIV R32 OEM short shifter

I had one installed on my MKIV GLI and it was much better than the stock set up.

I am told that the MKV uses the same tranny as the MKIV GLI/GTI 20th AE/ R32. so in theory I should be able to use the same short shifter.

has anyone done this? what do you think?

I remember reading about people who wanted to use the golf ball nob off the 20th, but it doesnt fit on our cars, so my guess is that a short shifter also would not work (not sure tho).

mkv short shifters that are already in the market look tottaly different. vvv

The shifter mechanisms are different between the two cars and existing Mk4 kits won't work on the Mk5.

We've designed a kit that works on both chassis and will be available in about 8 weeks.
