alrighty, well im not qute sure where to start but... i bought this car (2008 VW gti with 2.0) last may and it burned more oil than a clapped out honda. and that says alot. i had origianly thought it was just the rings that where the problem because i was still hitting boost just fine. Well turns out now that i have my engine all the way out and apart, with nothing in the block what so ever, i figured out that the turbo had been eating itself up and rubbing on the housing, at this point im replacing the pisons and rods wilth JE forged ones and im thinking about running lower compresson so i can run more boost than a honda civic barely holding on to its rods, and im wondering if anyone out there has a good turbo and manifold that i should take a look at. im not exactly interested in these "Upgraded turbo kits" that alot of sites try to push for $4,500 giving me a million things i most likely wont end up using. if anyone has a good option please let me know
