maf resistance

What should a normal functioning mass airflow sensor resistance reading be? I checked the resistance on mine between pins 2 and 3 and got a reading of 694 ohms.

I think somewhere on golfmk6 i read that anything below 800 is a bad sensor? Im not too sure on that.

I was having a little trouble with the MAF sensor on my Mk5 TDI a while ago and VCDS reported a recurring fault code so I did research over several forums on testing.

The advice I found was that the Bosch MAF in the 5 and 6 is a film type that transmits a digital signal to the ECU and the resistance test that had worked with the previous hot wire sensors does not work and it cannot be tested without fairly sophisticated kit that can read the digital signal

Not really the answer I had been looking for and no good for you either.

Hopefully someone else will give us some more info
