Lubricant for door hinge

I'm just wondering what you guys use to lubricate your door hinges? Any suggestion/s is appreciated.:thumbsup:

I was wondering the same thing??????

I noticed on my wife's Jetta, when she takes it to the VW dealer they use some kind of grease that is really thick and hard to get off the car if it gets on the side skirts......Grrrrr

Doesn't this leave any "white-ish" residue? If only someone here who works as VW technician would give us an insight of what they use would be great!:thumbsup:
