mines up for a service and was going to upgrade the airfilter, I've used in my old 4x4 k&n and dragon filters.
Have heard only bad comments about k&n in vw, not sure if it is an urban myth or not, what do you recommend ?

I have the K&N Typhoon intake and no problems. Smooth throttle and high end on stage 1.

Other member here has a K04+ tuned with the NeuSpeed intake and no issues neither, they are very similar intakes.

no fuel cuts/trims at all.

I also have run 2 different K&N setups with no issue. I do oil the filter per instructions.
Edit- 3 on vw. The carbonio uses a k&n filter.
