Lamin-x for license plate lights?

Has anyone tried putting Lamin-x optic blue film on their license plate light housing? If so, was the resulting light more white or more blue? I'm not looking for LED brightness, I just want the right color. Something along the lines of 4300k or 5000k hids.

^ I was thinking the same thing! Somebody must've tried it before. I searched for pictures online but couldn't find anything.

I ended up ordering a 4" x 8" sheet of lamin-x off ebay for $6.80. If it works, I'll probably have enough for all three of my cars! lol

Just go led, i've seen the blue bulbs and the overlays and they look like cheap crap turned on, a ricey dim blue glow.

I might eventually go with the pyspeeds, but first I'm going to try this cheap experiment.

Hopefully the lamin-x film is translucent enough that the light doesn't look baby blue or ricey.
