battery was probably relocated to the trunk for weight distribution.


although, yes, it is missing a ricer strut bar and the intake has a real air filter, not a stocking over a tube like honda's typically are equipped with.

Im thinking of buying a 2000 honda civic SI but im afraid of it getting stolen. Im transferring away for college in about two weeks. Im a little hesitant of buying the car, what do you think, will it be ok with a good alarm system?

Well you're not the DUMBEST person I've ever heard say things so...

If a thief wants something bad enough they WILL have it, and alarms barely even slow professionals down. Why buy a car just to leave it and go to college? No one there will believe you anyway because you can't show them your sweet ass 2k SI.

Good lord this thread fails on so many different levels. Its called common sense, if someone wants to steal the car they will. Not much protecting a car from being stolen other than Lojack and/or a good alarm system. And yes that engine bay is shaved.

Umm yeah if you need a car at college and something reliable try not getting something that is 9 years old and has an 80% chance of being stolen or having parts ripped off of it.

It's minor, but it is missing the ground wire that goes to the valve cover. And it's been a looong time since I looked under the hood of a 6th gen Civic, but shouldn't there be a hose coming off of that stub on the portion of the valve cover closer to the windshield?

Used to own a 2000 Civic Si, same color as the one you are looking at. It was a fun car. And the Si came with a strut bar from the factory, it's missing here.
