interior trim

well thanks to a couple of people I have worked out how to get the interior trim out, well most of it, I bought some aftermarket carbon fibre look adhesive vinyl from a performance store, when it comes to fitting it, it seems quite stiff, I've tried it on the glove box trim and when I bend it over and around it because of the gap on the back I can't get it to stick, I thought of a hair dryer to make it easier to bend, but ....
are there some do's and don'ts for this kind of thing.

Yes, you can use a hair dryer to make it more pliable. Just don't stretch it too much or you'll distort the weave pattern.
