In My Opinion My Fast Its Total.... WHAT DO U THINK?

Well guys like u have read my title i belive my Gti its total... i just got into a accident out of this world.good things. its the it wasnt my fault and it was into a big company the one and only Florida Power Light (FPL) lol So here is a lil explanation of the accident....

Heading North on 14 Ct just about half way down the street a lil pick up truck from FPL try to turn left looking for an adress of an house where he had an appointment well i was headin about 40 mph and i see the guy turn left rite in front of me i guess he was payin more attention to the house number than the road.... so when he turns i honk and hit the brakes and turn to the same direction he turn which its my right well i get on the grass my car slid :burnrubber: :burnrubber: :burnrubber: i manage not to hit a tree but my luck didnt last long i couldn t get control of the car to get back on the road so i end up hit the next tree the right rim hits the tree broked it in half my car turns towards the left and flips into the road meaning the driver side is the one looking a the road so while i was lookin at the road right next to my face and then the car decided to turn so i could finish wit the tires on the air lol... well now i contact my insurance and they say i cant get a rental since i said i didnt want one when i got the insurance... well now i dont know what to do im in pain and im think on sueing FPL and i want to get a CW Gti but o6 model so if u guys wanna give me feed ur more then welcome here

lol i know btw i have a grill, which someone already has offer to buy it, the monster mat, the gorilla gear and the head lights lol i had to keep thos HID... and idk if im goin to buy another gti but if i do prob the Candy White Im really confuse about what car to get Since i HAVE in mind the Lexus IS 350

holly shit that some serious stuff, is the engine alive or is it gone? jus take the engine out before you dump it lol, and the lites seem fine, jus save all the parts that work if the engine works save it and buy an oldskool gti and do an engine swap in da memory of ur GTI lol but luckily ur arite

well i have to see whats the outcome gonna be cause th einsurance its gonna contact me tomorrow and let me know if its total and after that idk how much their gonna give me so this r the facts of the my car i have just about 8900 miles i have pay $10,700 and i had it since april 10 so do u think my options are gonna be and idk if i should go tru therapy and find me a lawyer and also sue the FPL company come on guys help me out im only 19 and this is my first car

only sue if you're hurt badly. i hate stupid lawsuits. the guy made a mistake, don't make light bills go up by suing the company. obviously get them to pay for the GTI (enough for a NEW one considering a 5 month old car is pretty F'in new) and if you go to any physical therapy, obviously have them pay for that, any work you miss, and pain and suffering. you should come out of it with a new car, and a little cash to pad your pocket.

Sorry to see and hear that. I was in a bad reck like that but got hurt pretty bad. I hurt my back and wound up needing surgery so hopefully your injuries aren't as severe.

Florida is a no fault state so you can't get FPL to pay for your physical therapy. You MUST go to the doctor and get your injuries on record. From what you have written in previous posts, it seems you have done this already:thumbsup:

Florida insurance personal injury protection (PIP) mandates that your insurance company must pay all medical bills relating from an auto accident up to $10K. Different insurance companies act differently regarding this, but most will go by the book. So, if your medical bills exceed $10K then you will have to start using your own medical insurance, if you have it.

The other option is to contact a defense attorney and start the legal process of protecting yourself in this process. I would reccomend this. You will not know Florida insurance law and be able to protect and be fair to yourself without a lawyer representing you. FPL has an obligation, in the event of a work related accident in their fault, to do the right thing. As long as the FPL driver was ticketed for the accident, they will have to take some action not only from a legal standpoint but from a publicity stand point as well.

Also, no good law firm will persue a lawsuit if it is not worthy. You should only sue FPL if they do not act accordingly or if there is more money in medical damages then what your insurance company will cover. Then, their insurance would have to take over and the lawyers handle it.

Trust me, let the lawyers handle this. Ultimately, they work for you so you can tell them yes or no with their reccomendations for action regarding your case. Also, do not give a statement to FPL or their insurance company. Let the lawyers handle that. Any statements or conversations you have with FPL or their insurance company will be used to try to help their case.

Hope it works out and please get another GTI! If you do get some money from this you could have a sick GTI to replace this one!

WOW! suprisingly the GTI held up pretty well for being upside down... glad your still alive! Live to ride in a GTI again buddy! G/L with the case against FPL... but after you win, I doubt you'll be driving a VW, might be a Lambo' instead.

Hey at least you grabbed some parts so you can at least have a little but of cash when this all settles. If the headlights are ok then im sure someone with a Jetta would love em and the grill too.
