If you had a budget of $65,000 for cars, what would you buy?

To be honest, I'll buy 2 (mk6) GTI's. One will be in the garage and will never move (classic) the other will be my DD and ill use the extra 5 grand on mods

05 or 06 Lotus Elise
and keep the GTI.

you're doing it wrong :readthethread: ;)

So you'd buy a new GTI for how much, 30K max, then a used Elise, or you buy a base R for $35K and then get an elise for $30K. << that would be hot.

Either new M3.

OR...

A new mustang 5.0 (base) and a lightly used 2008-2009 BMW 328xi/x-drive.
Should put me around 55-57k. Use the rest to start turning the 5.0 into a track beast.
Provides a nice comfortable awd daily driver and a car to beat the shit out of on the strip and track.

2005 Acura NSX

Or buy any 2002+ NSX with $15,000 to $20,000 left over for mods.

With $65,000 on a vehicle purchase, there would be no other option. I would gladly DD an NSX.

First car a Datsun 510, 240 or 260Z, or maybe something a bit newer and cheap to make into a track car like a first gen Miata.

Second car would be a hard decision. Test drive the Golf R and have a bunch of money left over to make it the way it should have been done or find out if I could really deal with a larger car and get a used...
