Hood notch alternative

So while I like the OEM front, I'm toying with the badgeless grille on my car. The hood notch is the biggest downside to this.


I had an idea for a non-permanent fix and went on a hunt at home depot. I found a pvc moulding that is exactly what I wanted.

8' for $2.67 is a bargain. So now the plan is to trim it and paint it candy white. I'm also going to paint the grille my dark custom wheel color as I miss the contrast. More to come.

looks pretty tacky imo, especially with the barcode. I bet if you took some rubbing alcohol to the barcode it would come off

I just have the little piece that goes in the notch... I always had the idea of taping off my hood while the piece was on, and using some sort of cheap filler until it sat flush with the hood.. then rattle can it with colour matched paint

Only problem I saw was this was the weight, but some 3M double sided tape should hold it up nice
