help!! whining noise

So my cars alternator went and replaced it with a new one. Took off old one checked it out bearings were shot put new one on and then same idler tensioner pulley. Now my car is making a weird whining noise. This is a video I found online that sounds similar to my car. Car has 79k on it. Any idea what it could be?

Did you replace the belt with a new one?

No just the alternator. reused belt that was on there and reused tensioner pulley.

Put a new belt on it. Mine was starting to whine at about 25K miles and a new belt fixed it.

was the whining loud? sound just like the video? I checked Turning the wheels makes no difference in sound so have ruled the power steering pump out and alternator is new so it shouldnt be that.

if the noise continues after you shut the engine off for like a second or so its your crankcase breather valve. that is located underneath that engine cover and its covered under warranty. i hope this helps.
