Help. Jetta/Golf Seats

Hi. I own a 1997 VW Golf, and the seats are in really bad shape. I have found somene local that is selling seats from a 1999 Jetta.
Will these seats fit my car?

Hey Alexa,

I know nothing about the older model VWs to be honest. What you have though is a MKIII Golf, and a 1999 Jetta is a MKIV. So I would say that it would probably not be a straight forward swap.
