So on a road trip, the HID igniter somehow came loose and judging by the smell of burnt plastic and the scorch marks, electricity arced between the contacts. At this point I was panicking and watched that Deutsche Auto Parts video while pulled over. I ended up trying to brute force the igniter back onto the bulb, which as I know now, should never be necessary and wouldn't work. I am more or less resigned to the fact I will need a new igniter and bulb at the very least. But my pushing on the bulb socket with the igniter ended up pushing the projector out of alignment with the shiny ring. Is this fixable or have I completely screwed the pooch? Gentle tugging doesn't seem to have any effect and I don't want to force it again.
Pictures are worth a thousand words:

P.S. Is the ballast fried too? I am new to all this HID stuff.
