Golf R cam uprade??

Just checking if it's worth the extra $40 for Golf R intake cam on 06 gti with DM K04+........My cam follower failed so I have to replace the intake cam and fuel pump. Of course I'm out of any warranty. Will the golf R cam give any more hp on a k04 set up? It's only extra $40 and I'll be doing the work myself.

I've heard that the golf r end lobe is a tad bigger so it would give the hpfp more lift

That's what I've read, but can't find any true evidence that there is a true power increase. Also I want to make sure it's ok to install the Golf R cam and not have any issues.

Based on the above which goes along with what I have only read, there should be no power increse because they are the same cam with the exception of the taller HPFP cam. The cam lift is to allow stock fuel pump to provide more pressure/fuel for the K04 that comes with the GOLF R.
