Does the 2019 GTI use the BUDACK cycle?

I ask because I ran across the below post, which would explain the change in oil type. Anyone know for certain?

VW says the new BUDACK cycle engine's oil pump was specifically designed to run only 0w20 in their tech videos and says running thicker oil in this engine will cause damage. thats coming from from VW mouth

You might be to tell when the HP drops. I'm reasonably sure it will be on the sticker. Check out a new Tiguan to see.

The 2015-2017 oil pump does not fit the 7.5 (2018+) models according to ECS
I can’t even find the 2019 GTI oil pump part #

The current MK2 Tiguan has the EA888 Gen3b which is a budack cycle engine. The MK7 GTI is the EA888 Gen3 so far through all model years.

That’s it? So not the same as Tiguan then?

What oil viscosity is speced for the Tiguan? If 0w-20, they might be the same, you'd have to check part numbers.
