Not needed. As long as you do the prep work that the OP and I recommended you don't need primer. Primer just adds to adhesion, but proper prep work takes care of that for you. At that point, adding primer is just a waste of time/money.

I was thinking about doing the same to my Stock rims:

Except the recesses will be a matching red andt he outside will be black....

Anyone think they can photo-shop that to see if it looks okay???

i was thinking of the same format with my RS4 Reps. however I dunno how hard it would be with sage green insides and flat black face. they are like the ones pictured, but mine are hyper black.

i am going to try and do this to my huffs on Sunday!!! still have to decide on a color. is actual wheel paint recommended? or do others work just as well?
