DDM Tuning 5000k HID Bulb Swap and Comparison

I just wanted to share a video I made showing how the 5000k HID replacement bulbs I got from DDM Tuning look in a MK5.

There was a deal going on when I bought them - a pair of replacement bulbs was only $13.50...w/ shipping, it came to $19.50. It took about 9 business days to receive the shipment (from China).

The color is a nice clean white, no yellow or blue tint.

Overall, I'm really happy with the color. I recommend them if you're looking for cheap replacement bulbs and can wait for the shipping.

I hope they don't fail on you. I installed DDM Tuning replacement bulbs on my TSX. One of the bulbs started to flicker the next day, and then failed. The other bulb would make a loud noise and just stopped working the 2nd day. They wanted me to pay for shipping back to them, and then they said if they determined that the bulb was at fault, they would send a replacement set, but I would have to pay for shipping. I ended up ordering Morimoto 6000K bulbs from TRS.

Even though the HID kits are decently priced, I won't order from DDM Tuning again.

I've read both positive and negative reviews of DDM tuning online...but for ~$20 for the pair, I decided to take my chances.

My only issue was the long shipping time. I was worried about drawing unwanted attention having only one headlight working for almost 2 weeks, though I'm impressed with the output of a single HID (wasn't worried about safety since it still lit up so much).

When I had DDM Tuning HID's on my M3 they will go off every 8-12 months at the end you get what you pay for.
