well last night i was hanging out at this local meet and had my gti with me. I only got APR stage 1 and a intake. well anywho theres a black caliber srt4 that talks alot of shiznit. you know the type "i can take any car, my car was made by the racing gods". well his friends come over to check out the gti and asks if i would run for money against the srt. I wasnt sure about it so my best friend tells him that i got a gto too. So now the guy with the srt is definitly down to run me. saying he'll beat both of my cars. So my question is this. Should i take the gti or the gto??? If i can beat him with the gti then i'll take that but if i have to wake up my gto then so be it. what are ur guys thoughts? also i'm suppose to run him around 11 on the gsp.

That SRT puts down about 260whp in stock trim. With just a chip and intake they hit 280ish whp Add a turbo back and he is in the 320whp range.

Plus they only weight 3200.

So i'll break it down like this.

SRT w/180lb driver= about 3380lbs
Stock=153.8 whp/ton
Stage1=165.6 whp/ton
Stage2=189.3 whp/ton

GTI w/180lb driver= about 3280
Stock=115.8 whp/ton
Stage 1=134.8 whp/ton
Stage 2+=146.3 whp/ton
KO4=182.9 whp/ton

I dunno what year goat you have or what you have done. But we will say 2006

GTO w/180lb driver=3900lbs (fuck they are heavy!)
Stock=179.4 whp/ton (350whp stock)
I/E=189.7 whp/ton
I/H/E/Cam=210.2 whp/ton

So i'd say bring the GTO and if he is anything but Stage 2 you should own him from a roll and rape him from a dig. That is if your gto is an 06 lol

bring both cars and kill him with the gto first. then race him with the gti without putting money down and see how you do. Try to get some vids of the race.

and a 6.0 liter, the 5.7 gto will have a hard time with a modded srt-4

It doesn't look good for the GTI, but will be close...

1/4 mile time for a chipped GTI is in low 14's, and i think those numbers are kinda slow for a srt-4.
