Buying projector headlights for halogen then adding HID later

I am looking at new projectors for my MKV Rabbit and here are a few. I don't know if any of these are good but I am wondering if anyone has any of these?

I am planning on just getting new headlights for now then doing an HID conversion later. Any recommendations on HID kits?

I am still trying to figure out the wiring and what the easiest plug and play option would be. I think I might just get projector headlights to use with the halogen and see how much of a difference that makes before buy the HID kit.

Also from what I can gather the stock usa halogen lights are 10 pin and xenon's are 12 pin would I need that conversion cable for aftermarket HID kits?

Going aftermarket will be different than OEM. Generally the HID ballasts will plug directly into your stock low beam bulb socket, it will use that to control the relay and you will also run a wire from the battery for power for the new lights. Most companies that sell kits will have a harness already put together for you to make it easy.

You can plug them in if they are 10 pin headlights, then put an HID kid in. Those adapters look like they will work. I am looking at getting one of these headlights aswell but i dont like the black out look, i like the OEM color scheme.

However, my question is with the D2S bulbs. Not sure if you can use regular HID kit with these headlights as they need D2S bulbs (which have different ballast/igniter) than a regular HID kit.

Let me know what you end up getting. I agree I prefer the stock look over blackout lights. I have just been trying to compile a list of projector lights and prices since the stock lights are more than I would like to spend.

I know he had a rabbit how is that relevant to my response? If the headlights need ds2 the he can't run halogen and add hids later. You can find hid kits that run ds2 bulbs.
