With the release of the MkV platform and it’s revered heart, the 2.0t, has come a new level of peformance and with that, higher expectations. The battle for tuning supremacy has never been fiercer and to stay on top it requires that one must stay as current as possible with emerging developments.

Joe’s MkV, fitted with APR’s Stage III turbo upgrade is current to say to the least, being one of only a handful on the scene to be graced with these parts. Couple that kit with tasteful OEM and aftermarket upgrades and you get one clean example of a GTI that can really move.

To the company this means again, we have direct experience with the products we sell so that when you ask us questions we can give you answers based on direct experience and not hearsay. Additionally having this car allows us to test and develop our own products to ensure quality and performance before bringing them to market. This MK5 has been the test bed for our line of performance engine mounts which are compatible with all MK5/MK6 chassis vehicles. As well, we have prototyped both our Clean Catch Oil Separator, and our StabilaStreet Swaybar for the same platform using this vehicle. We daily drive our test mules to get real world data instead of just crossing our fingers and hoping for the best. Just another way we try to stay ahead of the competition..

Good job, but whats the + in the stage III?

AFAIK, this car is nothing more than a typical APR Stage 3.

There is "Stage 3+, that was for the 1.8Ts"

BFI probably calls it a "Stage 3+", because there's more to it than just a bolt on APR Stage 3 Kit.

Internals.

No. Stage 3+ doesn't exist, next step up is Stage 4.

thought apr was releasing a 3071 version that didnt include the head work, and that would be the stage 3 +?

I thought the headwork and internals would be the +. No point in doing headwork without internals when the bitch is that torn apart lol

From what i've heard, they're working on it.

I think they're going to recommend Rods, and then it'll be a GT3071R Slapped onto it.

I'd do Internals without Headwork, but not Headwork without Internals.
