So you believe that rather than YOU spending your money locally to purchase goods and services, that the government will spend your money better than you can?

hey some european country (i dont remember which one exactly) has high income tax, but the government pays for education, healthcare, and public transportation. sure you pay more tax but at least your tax money goes back working for you.
then look at the US. we pay all these taxes and where do those money go? to the pockets of politicians who don't really do shit.

but overall im glad bloomberg is out. fuck his anti-gun campaign he can shove it up in his ass.

You can blame Reagan for the cost of college going through the roof too.

no, at that time, business owners simply reinvested in their businesses and their employees... thus their overall profit/cash cows were lower, thus the money was not necessarily given to the gov't, it was "given" to the actual workers who made the owners the money.

If people make no money, who will be able to buy the products that people make. It's a cycle... and at the current rate, it will only get worse.

do not blame Saint Reagan for anything!!!

this thread is full of lulz.

That would be virtually all European countries, especially the Scandinavian ones. And they ALL have better education, health care, public transportation, and infrastructure than we do. This proves that government can be smart and efficient. And make no mistake. These are not "Socialist" countries the way many think they are. They are all capitalistic, market-driven economies where industries work with government to promote trade, manufacturing, etc. Why can't ours be? If we are to believe in American exceptionalism, as many here seem to, then we should believe that we CAN provide these services better than anyone else. The answer isn't to kill the program (ACA, Medicaid, etc.) but to make them work. But I don't know how to do that with the knuckleheads in office now.

Oh, and Europe has much stricter gun laws than Bloomberg wanted. That's a HUGE reason why they have such lower violent crime than we do.

Correct. Very few people actually paid 91%. If any. The government encouraged companies reinvest profits. They did and the middle class benefited.

OP has proven to be a dumbass by citing a bullshit wingnut site like BreitTard

Nothing to see here, just typical wingnuttery

Wow, really? That's a pretty close-minded way to approach things, and not a very nice thing to say to him. ??

Maybe this new mayor won't ban big sodas. heh.
