Going through my father in law's things (who now is in heaven)...I came across some of his receipts when he traded his Falcon & purchased his GTI..lol..not really, but he loved this thing.

Purchase of his car...I love the $10 deposit.

sad thing about the above receipt is he probly traded in his nice XR falcon for an XB maybe? Big step backwards in my opinion! XR was a nice car to drive and the XB was a boat!

Almost brand new MGBGT in 1970 cost me a thousand pounds - and with all of 75Kw we thought we had a true sports car! Mind you as a boggy Navy pilot I was pulling in about forty pounds a month.
