Anybody installed this Navi unit?

Hey guys saw in another thread where someone had this unit installed (Kenwood DNS520VBT) and it looked really clean. However i'm having trouble sourcing it here in the states and it seems as if it may be a EU only part.

Anybody have one installed or know somebody that does? Curious how well the unit works,where it was purchased and for what price. Google searches haven't turned up much.

After researching a little bit it seems like this is the same or updated version of the unit for the US. Not 100% sure but I do like it.

Anybody have one installed and feel like sharing some insight?

hi ive got the dnx521dab in my golf and it ticks all the boxes for me. its a newer model to the DNX520vbt with a better everything.

cost is a lot more but definitely worth it. if you have any questions on the stereo, features, looks etc let me know i am happy to help.

ps dont know anything about the DNS models but for me the dnx ones look the best inside the car to match dash etc

Google it, there's a guy out there that has a bunch of nice tips for it, line changing the start up screens etc.

In terms if the unit I'm happy with mine but the 521 is a little better. Downside is the iPod cable....it's like industrial cable and sticks out the front if the 520. Solution....USB mini stick, far neater and you can leave it in. Also the lights don't come on with the headlights which is a bit annoying.

Apart from that in terms of value for money it's great. I got phone, iPod, tv, DVD, USB and nav for less than a second hand OE unit. Granted original is always good but cost wise this makes way more sense.
