It actually gets even more complicated than that if you wanna get technical. The fox saleens are always remembered as being on the 3pc sterns because thats what most of the pictures are of but that wasn't the case. Probably less than 50 cars got actual Sterns either 1pc or 3pc. Most of the wheels that style (which most of the casts are made from) were made by speedline of Italy. On 1 spoke instead of saying "STERN" it would have said "Saleen by Speedline". The 4 log ones were only 17x7.5 the 5 lugs I don't know about. Lastly, Saleen offered for a while HRE's 525s from their catalog which are almost identical yet still different.

If e30's are 4 lug then 17x8 could work since the wheels are 4x114.3
