Air Conditioning Not Working (not getting cold)

I have a mk7.5 Golf GTI. The air conditioning doesn't work (it doesn't get cold, the blowers do work fine though), I was wondering if any of you had any ideas? It's still under manufacturer's warranty too. Symptoms: I press the physical A/C button and the little LED light on the button does not illuminate (the A/C icon in the infotainment screen on the temperature control page does highlight as checked though if the button is pressed). I have checked the F7 fuse for A/C and this is ok. When VW looked at this issue, they said the high pressure gas was low so that's why the air conditioning is not working, so they recommended that I service the A/C unit. I have had the high pressure gas filled by an independant garage and I replaced the pressure switch (which is usually the cause of non-working A/C apparantly), however, I'm still in the same place as the start? From my searches it doesn't seem to be a common issue? Any help will be appreciated.

So I figured it out. The compressor wasn’t coded and needed basic settings doing, the control module wasn’t coded and the pump needed basic settings. Not sure how this had happened, I’ve owned the car 7 months and never had the air con working so there is some unknown history! Hope this helps someone. Cost me £66 to fix from VW

Glad you found the fix. And good on you for sharing the solution.

Don't you drive a Mark VII.V?

I know such symptoms. I also had such symptoms with my aircon. It is a common issue, but not a lot of people speak about that. They immediately call some specialists to help them. This is the best solution. The problem with the conditioner is often encountered in the driver. I don't understand why, but the system wears out pretty quickly. That's why you need to refresh periodically. I had a situation similar to yours, and to make my life easier, I turned to specialists from spartamech.co.uk. I felt confident that I would have a good result. I recommend you to ask for the help of specialists.
