hi team, a weird one and I apologise for not working this out..
first of all its a mk5 gti with climate air, it runs hot fine cold fine, but if I get in the car and am wet then the windscreen fogs up, and it doesn't want to dry off lol, I run the standard air with both front controls set to 19 degs, that doesn't work on the screen, if I hit the button for direct windscreen it comes on but takes minutes for it to clear it off, and If I don't keep it on screen then it goes foggy not much after I have put it onto normal...
the manual I have isn't in english lol..
do I need to have the recirculation button lit to make it work better ?

Yes recirculate will help. Also check the cabin filter and look for excess water on the carpet.

well worked out where the filter was, and was surprisingly easy to extract and it was full of crap.
it appeared to be made of a fabric and not cotton as I expected..
I thought mmm 20 30 bucks at a guess...
the vw dealers parts dept shut as was weekend so called repco and super cheap, dam what a shock lol the cheapest price was 74 the next 86 and 107...
I can't wait to see what the dealers charge

I don't know about shipping to NZ, but ECStuning, oreillyauto, and amazon are all good ones.
