Does it look good to paint the stock plastic lowers on a black GTI? If they are not sanded is it worth it? What are some prices you have paid for it?

when I have my sunroof open past 3/4 of the way it is really noisy. The problem goes away if I open a window. Does anyone else have this problem? I would think that they would engineer it to not do that. In my 2002 jetta it didn't do it.
