That still seems really poor with seemingly 400 whp at 3300lbs unless you're just blowing the tires off.

Really poor? LMAO. You realize these are fwd cars, right? Not all of that 400whp can be put down. Hitting sub-5 sec. 0-60 is insanely fast for fwd.

I'm not missing the point at all. 4.9s 0-60 isn't slow for any platform.

I think the only other FWD car that we've tested 0-60 on that beat that was on slicks, and also held the Mk7 GTI 1/4 mile record for YEARS (it may still hold it). And I am on PS4S street tires...

I'm glad I derailed this and created a gti vs r lol. Yeah my halogens are shitty. At least I upgraded the bulbs for 12$. I guess I really have the basic poor mans GTI... sigh. At least I didn't buy that SE GTI with AWD that was like 13k more than a normal se.
