Be careful Jim. My memory is a little hazy, but wasn't it saying things like that that got you branded a racist for months? šŸ¤£

Imagine the horror of being called a racist in 2022 šŸ˜±

You know full well that this won't cost $26B/year.

I think you're the one that said $26 billion, I was using your number.

Maybe we could use the $20 billion a year in fossil fuel subsidies to pay for people to go to college?

The college tuition problem is from American college students wanting gyms, starbucks, movie theaters, swimming pools, yoga studios and butthole waxing salons on campus. In Germany, and Europe in general, tuition is much cheaper or subsidized because you get a stack of books and a teacher. Thatā€™s it.

There is some truth to what you are saying, but they are a serious military and economic threat now, and will probably be for the rest of my life. Don't underestimate the triumvirate of China, North Korea, and Russia, all nuclear powers.

China and Russia are not friends. They a frienemies. Each only looking out for themselves. Wait until their interests collide in Afghanistan to see how quickly that little alliance falls apart.

But it's a good taking point to get the country to support the massive socialist jobs program we call the military. You seem to have bought it.

And North Korea? Really? GTFO.

So saying non citizens is now racist?

No, no, no. Just saying "non citizen" isn't racist. Saying you don't want to help non citizens, when non citizens are primarily non white, is where the "you're a racist" connection is made.

Here's an idea. We have plenty of money for the military to turn non citizens in foreign countries into dust, why don't we use some of that money to help non citizens here in the country? They may not be citizens, but they're still people.

No, it's from allowing banks to profit off of our sorely needed education system. This thread is proof of how badly we need to extend compulsory education to college or trade schools.

Germany doesn't allow bankers to ass rape your children to go to college or trade school, they largely fund them, as the US used to do.

I think you are mistaken.

I am generally against subsidies for specific industries, no matter what they are. Especially green energy.

I am also against paying for people to go to college. The last thing we need is federalized higher education. I'd rather spend that $20B to tear down Sallie Mae and crush the private higher education military complex. Let them compete with community and state institutions until their endowments run out.

OK, not wrong, but I disagree. It's almost solely from Sallie Mae, relatively cheap loans available to anyone without any ability to repay, and steering money towards social justice initiatives.

Yeah look how well government schools are going so far: ā€œTesting is racist, 2+2=5, etcā€

I put my kid in one of the ā€œfreeā€ daycares for 2 days. He came back with bite marks on his face and talking about inappropriate things.

No thanks.

If NGO's have enough money to support two million non-citizens illegally crossing our southern border in a year, then they can pay to support them. But they're not. They're too busy building the next crop of Dreamers.
