I'm not going to argue about entitlements. I will say that actions by regulations and the tax code and much more by the government has created the need for them. Where I have the problems with entitlements is for non citizens as is proposed by the bill they have been trying to pass. And for the people who will take advantage of the entitlements that with effort on their part they wouldn't need.

Decades of 1 child policy, 55 yo retirement age, rising wages, jobs being sent to Vietnam, anti-intellectual policies, and extremely limited immigration.

They are headed for unavoidable demographic collapse and it's 100% of their own making.

There is some truth to what you are saying, but they are a serious military and economic threat now, and will probably be for the rest of my life. Don't underestimate the triumvirate of China, North Korea, and Russia, all nuclear powers.
