What's funny about racism?
I mean. After the government did nothing after a bunch of racist white people destroyed a fuck ton of black owned businesses in Oklahoma in a single night. Why not.
I'm not gonna go back and quote the post, you know who this is for.
1) The reason we went to the moon was to own the Russians (now zrick loves the Russians)
2) The US spent an inordinate amount of money on the space programs, far more than the Russians. In today's money 2.25billion on mercury to orbit and 283 billion (yes 125x more) on the moon landing.
3) once the soviets disbanded their moon program because they lost, there was no reason to spend more money on the moon.
4) the moon if fairly mundane as an object, there's really not much to see there (unless you're in a transformers movie or zricketys brain)
5) All space vehicles are very purpose built. The only reason apollo was able to land on the moon was literally because we were trashing almost every piece of it. 98% of what went into space was unable to be reused. Future space programs, facing the pressures of #conservative penny pinching, has to focus on reusability and the iss. Too bad a communist country wasn't trying to go to mars, we coulda gone first.
