Well this is my first write up for a DIY and my first post on here. I am taking all my black trim off to have it painted . So here we go if I forget anything let me know but i think i have it all covered.

This is the car before i started this morning

Now i started on the part that was supposed to be the hardest. I had a dealer tell me i needed to buy new ones cause he has never seen them come off without damage.
-First thing is to tape off arround the molding so when you pry it off you dont scratch the paint.

now i used a piece of 1/4"x1" wood that i broke off so it had a sharp edge. This is a very hi-tech piece of equipment. I made my own but i think you can rent them from autozone.

Now I slowly worked the instrument between the body and the molding and just worked it slowly cutting through the glue. The key is NOT TO PULL THE MOLDING, just let the tool cut the glue and then it will fall off. if you pull it too hard it will bend and kink. But just be patient and it will come off like this

Good now we will do the front bumper. We want to remove the two rub strips off and then do the lower lip. Well i just removed the whole bumper, really not that big of a deal.

First thing you want to do is remove the grill.

Then there are two torx on top behind where the grill was. Then there are three inside the wheel well facing foward on each side. Then there is one on each side up top that hold the bumper to the fender. OK after you get those out then crawl arround the bottom and get, i think its like 7 or so screws out of the bottom. OK here is the tricky part.

After you get all the screws out there are two clips inside the lower grill one on each side. they have tabs you just have to push down. After that the bumper should just fall off.

Now that the bumper is off it is time to remove the lower lip. All that holds it is some push style locks that you need to push open then pull apart.

Ok the rub strips are next and they have the same style as the lower lip so just go ahead and pinch on the end and work them off.

And this is what you are left with. Just put the front end back together with as many screws as you can.

Now make sure that these slots line up the bumper or it will not go back on correctly.

Ok, now take a break drink a  and realx for a second, you are more than halfway done..................Ok now back to work its time for the rear bumper.
Same thing as the front just take all the screws out along the sides and bottom

The only thing holding the lower half on is the same style locks that the front had. Just start on one end and work it on around with gentle tugs and it will fall off.

Thats it. That is all it takes and you can take them to the body shop without losing your ride for a couple days. Here are a couple more pics of the tools i used and what the car looks like now

Hopefully i will have the parts done and back on by this friday :D Will post pics then. Maybe we can put this in the DIY thread. Let me know if i forgot anything Cya.

Do you think you could get some close ups of the rear valence? I want to get mine painted but Ive been wondering how the textured plasic would look painted. From what Ive seen of the pictures youve got so far, its beautiful!
