Valve Cover Gasket Install Question

I am planning on changing out my valve cover gasket as I think it may be leaking a little due to a bad PCV valve, recently moved to BSH stg 1. Plugs have oil in them so for $15 the gasket cost I might as well change it out and keep eye on the plug openings for oil leaks. Simple job from the looks of it and have the torque specs and sequences. Only questions I have for those that have done it is looking as the gasket it seems to have a lip does this lop go into the valve cover itself of the head? If it is the cover itself what is the best way to keep it from falling off or slipping when placing the cover on or just place it on the head and lower the cover onto it?

its a fairly easy job. if you're worried about it falling out of place, dab some heavy grease at random spots around the gasket before you set it into place. The grease will keep it in position
