Manual or DSG?

DSG is the best auto tranny ever invented basically... i love it and comming from a MT it still has the fun factor but it ads the relaxed feeling of an auto...even tho i never have it in regular drive mode i am always using the paddles and the shifter...ALWAYS MOTHA F**KERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DSG is why I bought a GTI. Slick, slick, slick! Besides that, I've always had the opinion, based on manual VW's I've driven in the past, that most VW's have the same clutch pedal feel as a 1976 Ford F100. Not fun.

I feel it puts me closer and more in touch with my 2007 GTI,...

A smooth shift through all six gears,....reving the engine, shifting at red-line,....braking and down shifting into a set of sweet "S" curves, accellerating and up shifting on the apexes,...Ahhhhhhhhhh,..so sweet.

Yeah,..I like the manual,..I like the control and the decision to shift when I want to.

Yep,...manual for me.

have you driven a DSG? just so u know in a dsg u can downshift and shift basically whenever you want being up or down

I have an MX-5 with a manual box, and I love it. BUT my wife can only drive an auto so we'll get DSG. BTW I'm keeping the MX-5 as well :wub:

I am coming from an 06 DSG and now 07 6MT. I still believe as long as you know how to utilize the DSG and paddles, it is as much fun and of course, way much faster shifting.
