MAF sensor going bad or is bad?

how do i know if my maf sensor is going bad or if it's the APR Tune?

The reason i ask is because i've gotten soft codes for the maf sensor and at like 6k rpm is where it likes to misfire, but when i disconnect the maf it's just fine and dandy.

i was doing a mild tune up a couple of days ago and changed the plugs and cleaned the MAF, ever since I cleaned the maf it's been doing that. I guess that MAf cleaner spray is not a good idea?

oh and i don't think it's an intake issue, as i have an intake that likes to play nice with APR tune.

Yep - sounds like dirty or bad MAF sensor. Try cleaning it again carefully and make sure it is seated and tight when you put it back. I just checked today and a new one is $165 from Adam @ Checkered Flag VW here in VA Beach - list is $220.

I hit mine with MAF cleaner today and no issues - short squirts and don't touch it with the pipe. Be sure to let it dry completely but that only takes 60sec.
