AWE Downpipe arrived (metal cat)

Found the box on my porch, a day ahead of UPS schedule.

I open it and see the same great packing as "crew217" described:

Removing the first layer of foam reveals this:

Removing the second layer reveals this:

Weld quality on head flange:

Internal smoothness, much different than another pic i saw somewhere on here:

Middle pipe, with resonator. I might shave that scuff under the side hole, but maybe wont bother.

All pieces interlocked together with no sizing issues:

I have higher end clamps coming, but they don't arrive until tomorrow. I picked up 10 new copper nuts from dealer also. I will install this in the next 2-3 days.

i dont plan to do a cat back yet. so this will be downpipe on stock cat back.

Ya Ive heard this is still louder than stock, even with stock catback. So I'm glad it has a resonator. Anything less would be too loud for me. I only buy exhaust for performance, couldnt care less about sound. I want quietest possible. 95% of the gains in the TBE are from the DP, so i prob wont do a cat back. (Since it would only get louder anyway). I wouldnt spend $400-$500 on something i dont want in the first place.

i didn't get them when i had my apr downpipe installed

This is a little off topic, but what's the diff b/t a metal and ceramic cat? Any performance differences or just emissions stuff? I noticed that the metal version is a lot more $.
