Aux pump delete

I have my block all torn down and im looking at how much room is taken up by the auxilary coolant pump and hoses. Anybody ever delete it entirely? If so did you just route the hose from the turbo over to the tee in the upper radiator hose? Also does it throw a code for it being removed?

I've removed mine, it won't throw a CEL. Just tee it
