2.5" or 3" exhaust for bigger turbo

Need a little guidance...

I am planning to go with a bigger turbo once i put the car away for the winter months, but in the meantime i need to redo my exhaust system.

I currently have a custom build exhaust that is 2.5" from the downpipe all the way out, with a untironic HPFP stage 2+ tune.

Should i be going with a 3" exhaust from downpipe all the way out or
can i do a 3" downpipe and keep the existing 2.5"piping?

the end goal is to make more HP (400hp would be ulitmate goal)

Get a full 3"

Will not hurt to eliminate all pressure with any turbo....so 3" will do that for a big turbo. You can get by with a 2.5" and a K04. I have one and have had a tune with up to 26psi, but the 3" will give you no limits regardless the turbo chosen.

I say three as well...I just wanted to support my Bro's at Techtonics Tuning just 20 miles away...and I knew the 2.5" would be suitable for a K04
