Hi, I'm new to the forum! My 06 gti has been making the dreaded dmf rattle for a while now, didn't realize that's what the noise was until last week. The tranny grinded hard downshifting from 6th to 5th on the highway and doesn't want to slip into gear now. Now it stalls out in neutral when I let the clutch out as if it's still in gear. Any thoughts? I'm definelty replaced if the clutch and flywheel, just hoping i don't need to look for a tranny too. Thanks!
