wheels for my gti

hey, im looking to buy wheels that are 19"x8.5 and im also looking to lower my car using coilovers (probably like 2.5") will i have to do fender modification? or am i betterto stick with 18x8.5?

What size tires do you plan on running on either sets of wheels?

i was thinking i would run pzeros at 225/35 and where can i pick up fender screws?

I rubbed the front (hard conering) on 235/35/19's (19x8.5 et52) with the screw mod.

I was going to roll my fenders but i stepped down to 225/35 and have camber plates (-1.5°).
All of the above at probably 1.8'' of drop.

No rubbing for me now.

Soooo just keep an ear open for rubbing and roll your fenders if needed (front, i'm betting rear will be fine)...

You remove the top one and tuck back the plastic as shown in the DIY, also as stated if rubbing continues - you might need to roll your fenders or change out to smaller tires.
