I have a 2006 Candy white GTI (package 2) manual transmission with 245k miles. The motor is bad (rod knock) but I have a replacement with only 90k miles on it that is part of the deal. It is stage 2 tuned.
The vehicle itself is in otherwise decent shape. The two front fenders have the typical rust but can easily be replaced for $60 each. The lower rear valence is damaged but I have decent replacement. There are a lot of new parts on the vehicle (list is below).
Obviously, this is somewhat of a project in that you have to do an engine swap with the new motor (provided). If you have the ability to do the work yourself, you will have a stage 2 GTI for just over $3k. If you wanted to make this a track car, you could sell some of the unused parts for decent $$$.
I had bought this for my youngest son but we ended up getting him a new Civic sport. The $3200 I’m asking is what I have in it. I’m firm on price & I am not parting it out so don’t bother asking.
I will throw in a set of 17” Denver’s with brand new tires for an extra $300.
PM me or call/text at 815-277-9119 if you have any questions.
Thanks! ‘Baldie
