Window Issue!

Hey Guys,

I have read many a thread about windows not opening properly and the culprit is usually the regulator. My question is I have yet to read about the issue I am having. When operating my drivers-side window I hear this gut wrenching crunching sound and I have no idea what the heck it would be. I am assuming it may be my motor? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The window still functions but the first time I heard that noise I stopped using the window. Any other people have this issue??? :help:

I too have this sound on my passenger side window.

Yes! I just got bought my 2012 Golf earlier this month, and afterwards I noticed an ugly noise whenever i tried putting down the passenger side window. Thankfully I took it back to the dealership, and they came to the conclusion that the motor was bad and needed to be replaced

So your best bet, it has to be something with the motor or the entire thing! Have someone look at it
