Ummm, no. It would not be population / deaths * 10. It should be number of infected (unknown) / deaths caused by Covid (we have a better grasp of this number but still not great IMO) * 10.

You are correct, the actual infection number is unknown. But multiple sources are saying 24 times the test, or 30% of us were infected.
The season is really over, I am simply taking the total number people left standing.

Look at the spike in new cases that occurred due to the country reopening (and, more importantly, people flocking together, not social distancing or wearing masks). That spike will cause a spike in fatalities that is just barely beginning to be seen. It will get much worse, because, again, there is a lag.

Even if you take raw cases for Texas 381,656 vs deaths, the rate is 1.3%. This does not factor in all the people they suspect had it and were never tested. Estimates are 30% of the population. Say 10 million of Texas vs 5,038 dead, you get 0.05% fatality.

Texas isn't the US. Overall exposure for the country is around 10% by best estimates.

150,000 dead in 5 months makes covid one of the biggest killers in the US.

You're wrong. Just wear a mask. It isn't hard.
