Didn't the delta variant start in India? Bottom line is this, COVID is here to stay, it will not go anywhere. The United States being completely vaccinated may help but the issue is global. If we become fully vaccinated and the rest of the world is not then other variants are likely to occur resulting in potentially new strains the vaccine will not cover. As an example I give you the flu.
