Hi guys, I just changed the oil in my 2007 GTI, soon after that I got the Service now notification on the display. Before the oil change it said "service in 4000km" so I was wondering if the oil change had something to do with this? So should I take it to service or just reset the service notification? I put in Shell Helix Ultra 0W 30 as the local shop recommended it and it's VW 504.00 classified so no issue with that? Thanks

I think when you begin to reset the indicator on the dash it will say service now until reset, also there is a distance until next oil change but also a maximum time (1 or 2 years). Even in long life the car doesn't now the "quality" of the oil, but assume it from different variables such as the number of starts, idle time, distance... So don't worry and just reset it.
